There remains an impasse in personal terms between Everton and Sporting CP striker Youssef Chermiti, according to Record.

The Portuguese newspaper reported in its print edition on Saturday (5 August, Page 3) that the hurdle is likely to be cleared in the next few hours.

With the clubs agreeing on a fee, once an agreement can be reached on personal terms for the 19-year-old Portuguese striker, an announcement can be made which is understood to be close, according to O Jogo.

Get it done soon

Everton will be hoping to reach an agreement on personal terms as soon as possible as the new season is not far away.

It's rare that they agree on the transfer fee that quickly but it's happened this time and there seems to be a willingness on the player's side as well.

The fact that he's been allowed not to train as well as not travel with the rest of the team for the friendly against Everton suggests that he's closing in on a move.

Deals do fall through even at this stage so they've got to be careful about ensuring that everything stays on track.

Signing the 19-year-old poses a gamble as he's still unproven at the top level but if there is a decent transfer fee behind it, surely the club's recruitment staff are confident of him succeeding.

Sean Dyche too, may have given the green signal for this deal and it remains to be seen if he throws him straight into the starting eleven or not.
