Youssef Chermiti to Everton transfer timeline emerges as personal terms not agreed
Everton are now hoping to secure the services of Sporting CP striker Youssef Chermiti by early next week, according to Record.
The Portuguese newspaper reported in its print edition on Saturday (5 August, Page 3) that “white smoke” has still not been reached but there is optimism now.
Thus far, the Toffees have made two signings as they’re roped in Ashley Young on a free transfer and Arnaut Danjuma on loan.

Delays
The report states that everything appears to be in place for his medical but that will only happen after personal terms are agreed.
It’s interesting why there are so many delays in agreeing on personal terms and what are the things that it’s coming down to.
It could be game time or perhaps a future salary as he will not be joining on extremely high wages but may demand it based on certain incentives in his deal.

The first offer made by the Toffees to him was turned down so he and his representatives have made it pretty clear as to what they want.
Until there’s white smoke fans will not breathe easy and for good reason as they’ve seen their club botching up transfers in the past.
It’s important that they get this one over the line quickly and he’s ready for the first game of the season.
In exclusive Everton news, the Toffees now have to pay £21.4m to land a Brazilian striker to lead their line for next season.
