
Youssef Chermiti arrives in UK to complete Everton medical, deal in place – Fabrizio Romano
Sporting CP forward Youssef Chermiti is in the UK to complete his switch to Everton, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Sky Sports Italy journalist tweeted on Monday (7 August) that the deal is in place for the Sporting ace to move to the Premier League, with a medical booked that the Merseyside club.
The striker is set to join the Toffees in a deal that could rise to £17.2million, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “Youssef Chermiti, in UK to complete his move to Everton with medical booked — deal in place.”

With only a medical standing in their way, Everton looks to be close to completing their latest transfer.
Everton’s need for firepower this summer has been adequately addressed now, with Arnaut Danjuma arriving on loan from Villarreal and now Chermiti.
Demarai Gray looks likely to leave the club too, with Romano claiming (5 August) that the Jamaican only wants a move to Fulham, meaning the 19-year-old could get plenty of game time.

The Toffees have been linked to other attacking options including Leeds United’s Willy Gnonto. However, the Championship player did not want a move to Goodison Park, according to TEAMtalk (2 August).
Sean Dyche will be looking to add goals to his side, with the Toffees only managing a Premier League low of 34 goals last season amid a relegation dogfight.

With Everton finding themselves with financial difficulties and trying to rebuild off the back of a poor campaign last season, this news will get fans something to be optimistic about.
Chermiti looks set to have an impact in Merseyside, but at such a young age and with no Premier League experience, it may take the Portuguese youth star some time to bed into the new league.
