Injury Expert reacts as Everton attacker Dele Alli made headlines recently
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...
Everton attacker Dele Alli has been lauded by Dr Rajpal Brar for his candid interview with Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville in July.
The injury expert watched the expert that saw the England international making headlines after he discussed his mental state which stemmed from a rough childhood.
The 27-year-old is currently out due to injury and while he’s trained in pre-season, he is yet to feature for Sean Dyche’s side in any friendly game.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said, “I thought the video with Gary Neville was an incredibly brave and candid interview to discuss the things that he did as honestly and openly as he did. Incredible.
“It’s not my place to discuss how Everton may handle it as that’s far outside my expertise.
“From a physical standpoint to deal with his current injury, training will be the same principle of progressing activity load through duration and intensity and seeing how he responds.“
Sean Dyche said on 6 August, via the Daily Mail, that the former Spurs attacker was miles away from making his return to the first team.

The report claims that he was spotted smiling at Finch Farm last week with his teammates which fuelled speculation he could feature for the club in the coming weeks and months.
Alli spent last season out on loan at Besiktas who opted against exercising their option to buy him permanently.
He’s understood to still recover from a hip operation he underwent in April and has not featured since then.
In other Everton news, the club have made a fresh approach this week to sign an in-demand player after sealing the deal for Youssef Chermiti.
