Dele Alli exit predicted at Everton as Sean Dyche prediction emerges

Everton is likely to look to offload Dele Alli this summer as he cannot be relied upon by Sean Dyche, according to Paul Brown.

The former Daily Star journalist told GIVEMESPORT (8 August) that amid his injury issues, he is unlikely to feature much under Dyche, while claiming he is “unsure” if Dyche can trust him in a squad role.

Since joining the Toffees in 2021, he has only made 13 Premier League appearances and following a poor loan spell at Besiktas last season, the club may try to sell him on.

Brown said: “From what I hear, Dele Alli is injured and won’t return for a while. I think there have been fitness issues there for quite some time, and the financials of the deal he’s on make it difficult to justify him getting many chances this season.

“Despite what Dyche might say in public, I’m unsure that Dele is the kind of player he thinks he can rely on. So, I think Everton are probably looking to find a move for Dele Alli if they can.”

Unfortunate

Following his tell-all interview with Gary Neville in The Overlap last month (13 July), many have come to sympathise with Dele.

While many wrote him off as someone with a poor attitude, revelations about his past struggles have helped many see that there is a life beyond what happens on the pitch.

That being said, Dele may not be ready for Premier League football at this moment in his career. Injury woes continue to haunt him after muscle issues kept him out of the side for the last stretch of the season in Turkey.

He has not shown the appropriate levels to play in the Premier League since his time at Tottenham, and perhaps a fresh start at a new club could be the boost needed for Dele.

If he is not in Dyche’s plans, then it is pointless for him to stay in Merseyside. Discussing Dele’s injury Dyche said, as reported by the Liverpool Echo (7 August): “He is still not over his injury yet. He is well in himself, but he is not over his injury yet.

“We are miles away from [thinking about his role in the squad], he is just getting himself right again; he is feeling good, and now we will be working with him, on top of that, to make sure the injury is right. But it is still going to be a bit of time yet.”

While an injury would make it very difficult for the Toffees to unload Dele, Brown’s assertion rings true and perhaps in January the former MK Dons starlet could move away.
