Everton table £34m+ offer for Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike
Everton have tabled a bid worth in excess of £34m to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike, according to Sports Zone.
Writing on their official Twitter account (9 August), the French news outlet report that the Toffees have made their move for the French youngster to bolster their attacking options.
Everton have tabled a bid worth £30m plus a further £4.6m in add-ons to sign the player, who struggled to make an impact at PSG last season after his move from Reims.
“Everton drew a first verbal offer for Hugo Ekitike, 35M€ (£30m) and 5M€ (£4.6m) bonus,” they wrote.
“As revealed in May, Frankfurt are interested and Paris are trying to put him in the deal for Kolo Muani, but Frankfurt’s dream is called Elye Wahi.
“West Ham positioned themselves. He is on the shortlist to replace Scamacca.”
Huge
Wow, what a signing and what a statement that would be from Everton to get this deal over the line.
Ekitike was a major target for Newcastle just 12 months ago before he instead opted for PSG, but he struggled to make an impact playing behind Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in their attack.

His quality and raw potential was still available to see in glimpses though and as a target man with good quality and excellent target man attributes, he would fit in well for Everton and Sean Dyche.
It would obviously be an expensive deal but with PSG looking to change their front line with the signings of Ousmane Dembele, Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo-Muani, they could be open to his exit.
There is plenty of competition for the Toffees, but they’re moving hard in the market and it would be excellent if they could get it over the line.
