Everton transfer news as Alan Myers shares latest on Tom Cannon exit
There is expected to be some movement with regard to striker Tom Cannon potentially leaving Everton next week, according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports journalist reports on Twitter on Wednesday (9 August) that he expects development in the coming days but not until the weekend.
Newspaper journalist Alan Nixon wrote on 8 August that the Toffees are to soon make a decision over the 20-year-old’s future with Preston North End among the likely candidates.
Myers wrote on Twitter, “I expect something in the next week or so.”
Loan move?
Ellis Simms, Yerry Mina, Tom Davies, Niels Nkounkou and Asmir Begovic have all left the club for good this summer.
There have just been two new additions and by the looks of it, Cannon is expected to be the latest out of the door.
Along with Cannon, there’s even a chance of Demarai Gray leaving the club with Fulham seeming to be the likely candidate to secure his services.

It remains to be seen whether or not Everton allow Cannon to leave permanently or only sanction a loan move as he could come good in the future.
Still only 20, a season playing exceptionally well for Preston will boost his chances of making it into the senior Everton side and a regular feature on the matchday squad.
Sean Dyche’s input will be key after he’ll have worked with him in training for weeks and without a new striker coming in, he’s probably going to ask the club to delay this a bit.
In exclusive Everton news, the Toffees now have to pay £21.4m to land a Brazilian player ahead of next season.
