Jack Harrison shares brand new injury update with Everton transfer done

Jack Harrison has revealed he hopes to be back in action “in a few weeks” in a major fitness boost for Everton.

The 26-year-old joined Everton on an initial season-long loan from Leeds United on Monday 14 August, but he arrived nursing a hip injury.

That issue was expected to keep Harrison out for another six weeks [Birmingham Mail], though the Englishman is on track to return in half that time.

In a post on their official Twitter account on Wednesday [16 August], Everton quoted Harrison as saying: “I’m hoping to be back in a few weeks.

“At this point, I just can’t wait to get back out on the pitch and play in front of the Everton fans.”

Back for Arsenal

Harrison looks like he will be a huge hit at Goodison Park under Sean Dyche, even if supporters are made to wait a little while for the former Manchester City ace to make his bow.

With a combined 36 goals and assists across his three Premier League seasons with Leeds, Harrison is a player who knows how to make an impact in the final third.

On the basis of their 1-0 loss to Fulham, when failing to convert any of their 19 efforts, Everton could clearly do with the former England U21 international in their line-up as soon as possible.

Everton

Should Harrison indeed be ready to play in three weeks’ time, that would see him in contention to face Arsenal immediately after the international break on 16 September.

Dyche would of course have to ease Harrison back into action, but it is an exciting development for Everton fans nonetheless.

Should another forward arrive in that time, with a £25million bid having already been lodged for Harrison’s former team-mate Willy Gnonto [Sky Sports], then the future is starting to look a lot brighter for the Toffees.

In other Everton news, Jim White and Simon Jordan were in agreement over Gnonto’s stance as he attempts to force a move to Goodison Park.
