Everton transfer news as Alan Myers delivers verdict on Troyes striker Mama Balde

Everton are considering securing the services of Troyes striker Mama Balde despite interest in Southampton’s Che Adams, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports journalist reported on Sunday (20 August) that while there is interest in signing the £7million-rated Guinea-Bissau international 27, is not as advanced as that for Adams.

Sean Dyche is keen on bringing in a new striker this summer despite signing Youssef Chermiti from Sporting CP.

Via Twitter, Myers wrote, “Some interest but not sure it’s advanced.”

Worth a punt?

What Everton need is a prolific goal scorer who’s capable of finishing the half chances a run-of-the-mill forward will not.

It’s tough to ask for but that’s what a serious club needs to be looking for if they are to go to the next level.

The football club has such a rich history, an incredible fanbase and a state-of-the-art new stadium in the works.

Everton are planning to move from Goodison Park to their new stadium by 2025.

The foundations are there to go on and become a success but the people running at are driving it to the ground.

If Balde is someone Dyche feels can help this side out of this relegation battle, then by all means, the board need to prioritise signing him.

He’s not too expensive by the looks of it and could be a decent alternative if Adams does not end up coming to the club.
