Fresh twist as Everton stance on Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi revealed
Everton are not interested in signing Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea after his move to Fulham collapsed, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Writing on their official website (22 August), the news outlet report that despite links to the former England international the Toffees are not currently pursuing a move for him.
Hudson-Odoi wants to leave Chelsea but while Everton are targeting attackers before next week’s deadline, Wilfried Gnonto and Che Adams remain the targets Sean Dyche wants.

“Everton are not in the hunt for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi,” they wrote.
“Although Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are believed to be in the mix for his signature, the ECHO understands that Hudson-Odoi is currently not an Everton target.”
No shock
If Everton were going to try and sign Hudson-Odoi for this Dyche team this summer, then you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks selling Demarai Gray makes any sense.
Gray looks set to leave with deals agreed with both Saudi clubs and Fulham, but so far nothing has materialised beyond that as the club look for a replacement before green-lighting an exit.
But the Jamaica international has proven his worth to this squad and the only reason he is being allowed to leave is because he has one year remaining on his deal and wants to play more regularly.

Hudson-Odoi isn’t anywhere near as proven at the highest level and is said to be on massive wages too, so you could argue it would be a downgrade more than anything else.
We all want attacking reinforcements but this seems like a sensible decision from the club not to pursue this deal and to instead go for their prime targets heading into the final week and a bit of the window.
