Pundit shares Everton ‘bigger picture’ verdict amid Che Adams transfer development
Southampton ace Che Adams would help Everton players raise their game if he was brought to Goodison Park, according to former Toffees defender Michael Ball.
According to journalist Paul Brown (21 August), the Merseyside outfit are closing in on a transfer for the Saints striker.
And ex-Toffees man Ball believes the Scotland international would bring much-needed fresh energy into Sean Dyche’s squad.

“For me, this is about the bigger picture,” Ball wrote for the Liverpool Echo. “As a player, I know what it is like when a new player is brought in.
“You instantly raise your game, regardless of whether the player brought in plays in your position or not. Everyone is out to impress.
“A new face also brings fresh energy into the squad, and, at this moment, these are two aspects that Everton would benefit from.”

Anyone will do
Unfortunately for the man in the Everton dugout, most Toffees fans are perhaps now in a position where any new face is welcome news.
The Merseyside outfit don’t exactly have the pick of the bunch given their financial issues, but they could do a lot worse than bringing in Adams before the transfer window closes.
The striker has plenty of Premier League experience, and thus is likely to be more ready than new signing Youssef Chermiti when it comes to being able to find the back of the net.
Everton need a short-term solution following the latest injury blow to star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and for now the likes of Neal Maupay and Arnaut Danjuma don’t seem like providing that solution.
But Dyche will also be thinking about the long-term, with Saints forward Adams perhaps his most suitable option right now to help keep the club in the Premier League.
