Dominic Calvert-Lewin decision made as Alex Iwobi ruled out – Everton early team news v Wolves
Everton manager Sean Dyche has delivered early team news for his side’s Premier League clash against Wolves.
The Toffees welcome their fellow strugglers to Goodison Park on Saturday (26 August), with both clubs losing their first two matches of the season.
Everton have lost 1-0 and 4-0 to Fulham and Aston Villa respectively, with Wolves losing 1-0 and 4-1 to Manchester United and Brighton respectively.

The hosts will be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alex Iwobi for the match, both of which went off injured against Aston Villa. Dyche also provided an update on new loan signing Jack Harrison.
Seamus Coleman, Dwight McNeil and Dele Alli meanwhile remain sidelined with injuries, and are yet to play this season.
“First things first he’s seeing a specialist tomorrow,” Dyche told reporters, as per the official Everton YouTube channel. “The reason why tomorrow is because there is a lot of swelling. Unfortunately he will miss the weekend.
“Alex unfortunately has hurt his hamstring. It certainly won’t be days, it will be a few weeks I think, we’ll wait and see as it heals.
“Jack is going well, he’s out on the grass. He’s not with us though, he isn’t training with us yet, but he’s going well generally, feels better in himself so that’s good news.”

Tough times
Everton have endured a tough start to the new season, with the club sitting rock bottom of the table in these early stages. And things won’t get any easier given the latest injuries to key players Calvert-Lewin and Iwobi.
They are both crucial to Dyche, meaning the manager must turn elsewhere to pick up much-needed points this weekend and in the months to come.
Turning to the transfer window could be an option, but the Toffees don’t exactly have plenty of finances to bring star names to Goodison Park.
Arnaut Danjuma and Harrison have arrived on season-long loans, with Ashley Young joining on a free transfer and Youssef Chermiti joining from Sporting Lisbon.
But Dyche will undoubtedly be keen to continue bringing in new faces, both given the worries last season and the struggles in the early stages of this season.
Wolves have their own struggles, but they will definitely come fast out of the blocks at Goodison Park, knowing that there are points to be won.
