Everton make £25.7million Beto approach, Udinese demand more for transfer
Everton have made a new approach worth up to £25.7million to sign Udinese striker Beto, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian journalist has reported on his website [24 August] that the Serie A side have decided to turn down the offer and have demanded more to sell.
It is said that Everton are betting strongly on the powerhouse forward, but will need to eventually return to the table to try and get a deal done.

Sean Dyche confirmed his struggles with the transfer window earlier on Thursday, with a lot of money needed to bring in players who can make a difference.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin once again set for a spell on the sidelines though, it is pivotal that a new signing is made in the next week, with the England international simply not reliable.

Pay up.
Here we go again, it seems like a never-ending cycle at this stage.
Everton identify a player they would really like to sign, throw in a few low-ball approaches that clearly won’t be accepted and then moves on to the next.
It is all in an effort so they can say they “tried” to sign big players, only for the finances to get in the way of everything as they always do at Goodison Park.
This comes back to the gross mismanagement of finances for years under Farhad Moshiri though, and it is seriously harming the club at this moment in time.
It looks as though it will be a long week to end the transfer window unless funds can appear out of nowhere, which of course we will have to cross our fingers for.
This is obviously one to watch, but someone needs to tell the club to pull their finger out and cough up the cash if they want Beto, or it simply will not happen.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have been urged to sign one of their former strikers who is now at another Premier League club
