Gabby Agbonlahor shares ‘harsh’ Sean Dyche Everton sack verdict live on talkSPORT
Gabby Agbonlahor believes Everton fans need to give manager Sean Dyche more time in the Goodison Park dugout this season.
Dyche was appointed as boss of the Merseyside club in January 2023, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2025.
The Toffees have kicked off their new Premier League campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Fulham and a 4-0 loss to Aston Villa.

“Everton fans are seemingly losing patience with Sean Dyche,” host Alan Brazil said live on talkSPORT. “Do they need to look elsewhere long-term?”
Agbonlahor replied: “No they don’t. I feel that you could bring any manager into Everton and they would have similar problems.
“I think what he has got at his disposal at Everton, he’s bound to struggle. It’s going to be another one of those seasons where it doesn’t surprise me if Everton stay up in 16th place and have a poor season. So I think it’s harsh to judge Dyche.
“They’re missing so many quality players, so I think they need to back off Dyche and give him a chance.”

Miserable start
It’s been a really miserable start to the new season for Everton, who currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League table after their two matches.
Worryingly, they are the joint-lowest scorers with zero goals, and have the joint-worst defensive record with five goals conceded.
Dyche has tried to improve upon last season, where they stayed up on the final day, by making moves in the transfer window.
Experienced and versatile defender Ashley Young has joined on a free transfer, with young striker Youssef Chermiti joining from Sporting Lisbon.
Wingers Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison meanwhile have joined on loan from Villarreal and Leeds United respectively.
But it seems that right now they won’t be enough to help get the Toffees out of their current rut, with fans desperate for more arrivals before the transfer window closes. More players have been linked with a move to Goodison Park, but nothing concrete has emerged.
In other Everton news, a BBC pundit has shared a Toffees Premier League relegation prediction as issues “come to light.”
