Everton transfer news as Beto plays final game before Goodison Park move
Udinese striker Beto has played his last game for the Italian club after featuring against Juventus, and he is one step away from joining Everton, according to Tutto Udinese.
The Italian news outlet shared via its website on 26 August that the English club have reached an agreement with Udinese to sign the striker, with only the final details remaining.
Fabrizio Romano reported [26 August] that Beto will fly to England to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Goodison Park, as Everton finally look to have found an answer to their attacking woes.

Everton finally getting a move over the line
The club finally look to have found a resolution for their ongoing issues upfront, after reaching a big-money deal to bring the Brazilian striker Beto to Merseyside.
Sean Dyche has been keen on strengthening their striker options all summer, and his desire became even more crucial following the Toffees’ failure to score in either of their opening two Premier League games against Fulham and Aston Villa.
Che Adams is another option for Everton, with talks reportedly ongoing with Southampton as the clubs haggle over the structure of payments in a £15million total deal to bring the Scottish international to the club.

If both Adams and Beto come in, it may spell and end to Neal Maupay’s career at Goodison Park, as he will drop to being the fourth-choice striker behind both possible new arrivals and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The need for a striker began with Calvert-Lewin’s injury issues causing concerns for Dyche, while Maupay’s consistent profligacy in front of goal meant the club had no forwards that could be relied on to provide the goals throughout a full season.
In other Everton news, Martin Keown has described the ongoing situation at Everton as a “mess”.
