Everton transfer news as Beto to jet into England on Saturday
Udinese striker Beto is set to travel to Merseyside on Saturday 26 August ahead of an Everton medical this weekend, according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports journalist shared the update via his Twitter account, where he also stated that Everton director of football Kevin Thelwell agreed a deal with the Italian club for the 25-year-old.
Beto will come in following Everton’s failure to score in any of their opening three Premier League games against Fulham, Aston Villa and Wolves, with Sean Dyche’s desperation for forwards growing stronger by the day.
Finally one incoming
It looked like Southampton striker and Scottish international Che Adams might be the answer to Everton fans’ prayers after reports shared the club had agreed a deal with the South Coast club, but while talks continue there, the club have moved quickly to land another target.
Dyche has been desperate to bring a striker in all summer, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s repeated injury issues still hanging over him, while Neal Maupay can’t be relied upon as a consistent source of goals.
Beto scored 21 goals in 61 games for Udinese in Italy, and will instantly become Everton’s main man up front after their current options failed to find the net despite having 16 shots on target across two home games so far this season.

Adams may still arrive if the two clubs can agree on the structure of the payments for his potential £15million move, as the desperation for new forwards looms over the club. Youssef Chermiti arrived from Sporting CP but is not ready to be relied upon in the Premier League.
