Unnamed Premier League club now wants to sign Alex Iwobi with Everton exit on the cards – Alan Myers
An unnamed Premier Leaue club have entered the race for Everton star Alex Iwobi before Friday’s deadline, reports Alan Myers.
Writing on his personal Twitter account (29 August), the Sky Sports journalist reports that Fulham are not alone in their pursuit of the Nigeria international who is currently out injured with a hamstring problem.
An unnamed Premier League side and a club from abroad are also interested in the former Arsenal midfielder, but there are no agreements with Everton yet for his potential exit.
“Fulham and two other clubs in for Alex Iwobi, one Premier League club and one from abroad, no agreements yet,” he wrote.
No way
Many people have been anticipating a big-money sale at Everton all summer, with most people believing it was going to be Amadou Onana.
But with the Belgian seemingly happy to stay and no offers incoming for him, it now seems that burden could fall on Iwobi, which would be a nightmare.

When he moved to central midfield under Frank Lampard he was excellent but even since being moved back out wide under Sean Dyche, Iwobi has been one of the most consistent performers at the club.
His leadership and experience have been key in big moments, but with just one year remaining on his contract at the club it could be seen that this is the time to cash in and make some money on him.
It would be incredibly difficult to replace him however, and any deal would have to be worth it and not a cut-price deal. Dyche is making a huge decision if he does ultimately let him go, and Everton would need to ensure he is replaced before Friday’s deadline too.
In other Everton news, major development in striker hunt as another could arrive after Beto.
