Gerard Deulofeu sends message to Beto after Everton transfer confirmed
Former Everton player Gerard Deulofeu has sent a social media message to Beto after the latter signed for the Toffees.
The striker has joined the Merseyside club on a four-year deal from Udinese, as per the official Everton website (29 August).
He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window after the arrivals of Ashley Young, Arnaut Danjuma, Youssef Chermiti and Jack Harrison.

Among those wishing the striker luck on his move to Goodison Park was Deulofeu, who played alongside Beto at Udinese.
“I hope you have enjoyed your time with us and learned so much to continue the wonderfully successful career you will have,” Deulofeu wrote on Instagram.
“We will miss you. And now… enjoy the Toffees lad.”

Exciting signing
Everton fans haven’t had many reasons to get excited, particularly in terms of transfers, but they should be delighted that Beto has made the switch to Goodison Park.
The striker will undoubtedly be thrown straight into the deep end given both his prowess in front of goal and, conversely, Everton’s struggles in that area.
Sean Dyche’s side are yet to open their account for the new Premier League season, failing to find the back of the net from their first three matches. In stark contrast, Beto is already off the mark this season, having scored for Udinese in the Italian Cup.
That follows his 10 Serie A goals last time out, with Everton fans desperate to see their new signing burst the back of the net sooner rather than later.
There will be plenty of pressure on his shoulders, but at this point Toffees fans will simply be happy with their club finding the back of the net just one time.
In other Everton news, an advanced Toffees player sale has collapsed with days left until the transfer window deadline.
