Everton transfer news as Maxwel Cornet named one to watch, loan move mooted – BBC Sport journalist
Everton could make a loan move for West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet in a deal that is one to keep an eye on, according to BBC Sport journalist Shamoon Hafez.
The Ivory Coast international previously played under Toffees boss Sean Dyche at Burnley, spending the 2021/22 season at Turf Moor.
Cornet has been handed just one minute of action on the pitch by Hammers manager David Moyes so far this season.

“There are suggestions the Toffees will look to make a loan move for West Ham winger Maxwel Cornet, who played for Dyche at Burnley, but there is nothing concrete on that at the moment,” Hafez wrote for BBC Sport.
“One to keep an eye on.”

Another attacker needed?
After plenty of frustration for Everton fans this summer, the Toffees have been making plenty of moves in the transfer window in recent times.
And it has largely focused on attacking reinforcements, with free agent Ashley Young the only defensive arrival so far.
His move to Goodison Park comes alongside the arrivals of wingers Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Leeds United and Villarreal respectively, with strikers Youssef Chermiti and Beto joining permanently from Sporting Lisbon and Udinese respectively.
It was clear that the Merseyside outfit needed to strengthen in this area following their final third struggles in recent seasons, but the problem has continued into the new Premier League campaign.
After three matches, the Toffees are yet to find the back of the net, with their only goals of the new season coming in the 2-1 EFL Cup second round win over Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday (30 August).
In other Everton news, early team news for the clash with Sheffield United has emerged, with an update on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
