Patson Daka could quit Leicester on deadline day amid Everton transfer hunt
Leicester City forward Patson Daka could depart the Championship club on deadline day amid interest from Everton, according to Ryan Taylor.
The Daily Express journalist reported (31 August) that he is “expecting movement” from the 24-year-old with the Toffees joining Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Burnley as admirers of the international.
While interest is widespread among Premier League sides, Leicester City’s valuation of Daka will have to be “slashed” if a deal is to be completed.

Everton’s efforts to bolster their forward options this summer have paid off. With Beto, Arnaut Danjuma, Youssef Chermiti and Jack Harrison, the Toffees are addressing their struggles in front of goal.
While it is still too early to see if those issues remain, despite their 2-1 comeback win against Doncaster Rovers, Dyche is putting himself in as strong a position as he can following three consecutive league defeats without a goal.
Daka could be a decent option from the bench due to his energy and pace, but his lack of consistent Premier League goals would likely keep him out of the starting lineup.
While nine goals across 53 league appearances is not a terrible return for a winger, Sean Dyche may feel that a more dependable option should start in their efforts to remain in the top flight.

However, the deal may hang in the balance if the Foxes aren’t willing to reduce their asking price. The Daily Mail reported (25 August) that the Championship side values the Zambian international at £25million, which feels quite steep for a relegated player who got the bulk of his game time from the bench last season.
While the Toffees haven’t spent a significant amount this summer compared to previous windows, with Beto and Chermiti their only permanent signings, their financial constraints would certainly make them think twice before paying £25million for the likes of Daka.
However, with the transfer window set to shut soon, we may see Daka make his return to the Premier League.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are “preparing an offer” for a West Ham United forward.
