Gabby Agbonlahor compares Everton ace Dele Alli to Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho amid recent development

Gabby Agbonlahor has asked fans to stop pilling on Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho, comparing his situation to Everton midfielder Dele Alli.

Sancho appears to be at odds with manager Erik ten Hag after he was dropped from the squad for the game against Arsenal.

The England international was also given several weeks off last season by the manager to deal with his mental and physical health.

Via Twitter, Agbonlahor wrote, “Have we not learnt anything from the Dele Alli situation? Maybe think of what Sancho is going through before you slaughter him!”

Same situation?

Alli’s struggles have been well documented in his interview with Gary Neville and that helped change the perspective of how he was looked at in the footballing world.

When Sancho had his issues last season, everyone supported him not just at the club but the fans as well.

Right now, the situation is a bit different as he’s directly gone against his manager and issued a statement an hour after the loss to Arsenal.

While ten Hag could’ve handled the situation privately and not called him out in an interview, Sancho should not be out there calling out his manager.

This clearly shows the chaos that’s ensuing behind the scenes at Old Trafford and does not seem fair to compare it to Alli’s situation.

The Toffees player never made statements about a manager treating him unfairly or revealed anything that was going on behind closed doors.
