Everton ace James Garner reacts to Alex Iwobi Fulham transfer after Goodison Park exit
Everton midfielder James Garner has reacted to Alex Iwobi on social media after he left Goodison Park to join Fulham.
Iwobi, who joined the Toffees from Arsenal in 2019, has moved to the Cottagers on a five-year deal, as per the official Fulham website (2 September).
The 27-year-old shared the pitch with Garner in Everton’s opening game of the season, which was against Iwobi’s new club.

Taking to social media following his Goodison Park exit, Iwobi posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “All Good!”
Among those reacting to the post was his former Toffees teammate Garner, who made his feelings clear with his comment.

Popular figure
Iwobi was clearly a popular figure at Goodison Park, with everyone associated with the club certain to miss the midfielder over the coming months.
His experience and quality could have helped the Toffees out of their current rut, although they do not all their players to step up, rather than just one.
Ironically one player who will benefit from Iwobi’s exit is his fellow midfielder Garner, who should now be guaranteed more minutes on the pitch.
The two weren’t exactly fighting it out for a spot in Sean Dyche’s starting XI, but the former Manchester United man now has one less midfielder to compete with.
Both Garner and Iwobi started Everton’s first few matches of the new season, with the latter then quickly ruled out with a hamstring injury suffered against Aston Villa.
The former must now step up and be counted for as the Merseyside club look to bounce back from their miserable start to the season following the international break.
In other Everton news, the Toffees plan to reintegrate an angry player barring an unexpected late change, according to David Ornstein.
