Everton: Demarai Gray to be unveiled by new club on Thursday – Fabrizio Romano
Demarai Gray is set to secure his move away from Everton and be unveiled as a new Al-Ettifaq player on Thursday (7 September), according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist tweeted on 7 September that the Jamaican international completed his switch to the Saudi Pro League side from the Toffees on Wednesday (6 September).
He said the 27-year-old forward has signed a four-year contract in the Middle East and that his medical has already taken place ahead of his £8million move.
Waiting confirmation
It looks as though the deal taking Gray to Al-Ettifaq is all but done barring the official confirmation from Everton and the Saudi outfit.
This has been a transfer saga that has rumbled on for weeks after Sean Dyche made it clear the forward wasn’t in his plans for this season.
The Jamaican has been pushing for a move away from Merseyside having fallen down the pecking order and criticising the Toffees boss for not respecting him in a social media post on 3 September.

The Blues will be pleased that the situation has now been resolved and that they’re making a decent profit on Gray after they signed him from Bayer Leverkusen for £1.5million in 2021.
Dyche can now turn all of his attention to the players that he does have remaining at the club as he looks to help them improve following a couple of disappointing campaigns.
