Everton: Arnaut Danjuma sends one-word message to Amadou Onana ahead of Belgium internationals
Everton forward Arnaut Danjuma took to Instagram to send a one-word message to teammate Amadou Onana ahead of Belgium’s Euro 2024 Qualifying clash against Azerbaijan on Saturday 9 September.
Belgium were looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the European Championship qualifiers as they travel to Azerbaijan for a Group F fixture with the Red Devils needing a win to return to the top of their group.
Everton star Onana has become a key figure under new Belgium boss Domenico Tedesco and the 22-year-old took to his Instagram account on Thursday 8 September to post his preparations for September’s internationals.

Onana posted: “Preparing in a good mood.”
And teammate Danjuma, who joined Everton on-loan from Villarreal over the summer responded with a one-word message saying “Legend.”
International pedigree
The Belgian maestro has been an instant hit since his £33m move, showcasing his irresistible and dominant talents from midfield in just his first season in England, and his qualities may warrant a bigger platform than Everton before long.
The former LOSC Lille maestro had been linked with various clubs this summer, with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag interested in bringing the Belgian to Old Trafford last month as he wished to add some physicality to his midfield [TheGuardian, 14 August].

The Belgian had also been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool which certainly sent Everton pulses racing over a disastrous exit that the club desperately did not want despite the hefty fee they may well have received.
Onana’s decision to remain arguably represents Everton’s best business all summer but it’s certainly only a matter of time before one of the big clubs actually successfully snap him in future and his international pedigree for Belgium may well prove a blessing in disguise for the Blues.
It was vitally important the Toffees made their stance on his future clear as he is hugely important to what Dyche is trying to build at Goodison Park. It’s unlikely the club will have found another player like Onana so they simply had to keep him for this summer at least.
No wonder Danjuma is serenading him with compliments on his social media.
Should Onana prove once again why he is one of the best young midfielders around this season, Everton could well be looking at a sale considerably more than the £60m price tag that was floating around in the rumour mills all summer.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared his stance on whether Everton will explore a free transfer opportunity to replace Demarai Gray.
