Unnamed agents give Sean Dyche sack verdict at Everton as under-fire managers named
Everton boss Sean Dyche has been named as the Premier League manager most under pressure by unnamed agents in a poll by The Athletic.
The online outlet spoke to agents anonymously for an article [14 September] that covered a number of topics.
Dyche was named by eight of the 20 agents when asked who they felt was feeling the heat the most, followed by Erik ten Hag and Eddie Howe of Manchester United and Newcastle United respectively.

One agent is quoted as saying: “You just worry for the manager of Everton and the manager of Chelsea and these teams that have such high expectations or squads that are incomplete or dysfunctional.”
Another agent added: “Huge pressure for Everton at this stage. Worst team in the league. Expectations are much higher at Everton than, say, Bournemouth, who have gone with a different ‘project’.”
Seven in seven
The agents’ verdict is hardly shocking, as the majority of bookmakers also make Dyche the favourite to be the first Premier League manager sacked this season.
Everton, who are facing ongoing uncertainty over the ownership situation, have hired seven managers in seven years under Farhad Moshiri [Sky Sports].
If results do not drastically improve, that will be eight in eight.
The Toffees have collected one point from their opening four matches and only just scraped past Doncaster Rovers in the EFL Cup.

With Arsenal the next visitors to Goodison Park on Sunday [24 September], that pressure is only likely to intensify on Dyche.
The “worst team in the league” verdict is pretty damning, especially when you take into account Everton’s net spend over the past five years or so.
As well all know, relegation would be disastrous for the club. Fingers crossed Dyche can help turns things around in the coming weeks.
In other Everton news, concerns have been raised over 777 Sports’ proposed takeover of the club.
