Andre Gomes wants to leave Everton as soon as possible as Fenerbahce transfer hangs in balance
Andre Gomes wants to leave Everton “as soon as possible” with Fenerbahce his only option before Friday’s transfer deadline, report Fanatik.
Writing on their official website (15 September), the Turkish news outlet reports that the Portuguese international wants out of Goodison Park as he isn’t in manager Sean Dyche’s plans for the season.
Gomes was named in the club’s 25-man Premier League squad, but Everton don’t see a future for the 30-year-old either and are working to sell him before the Turkish transfer window slams shut.
“Among the footballers whose name is associated with the Yellow-Navy Blues, the name that seems easiest to transfer is Andre Gomes,” they wrote.
“The Portuguese football player wants to leave as soon as possible because he cannot play in Everton and it seems that he has no option other than Fenerbahce.
“The English team is also trying to part ways with an experienced midfielder whom they do not consider in the squad.”

Get out
If Gomes doesn’t want to be at Everton, then we don’t want him here either and we should be doing all we can to get him out quickly.
Gomes is a big earner after his transfer from Barcelona several years ago and if we can’t find a buyer then it’ll be us who are stuck paying those wages while he trains and doesn’t play.
Fenerbahce are said to be willing to pay around £4.3m to get a deal done and Everton are happy to accept that, but personal terms need to be agreed and then he needs to do a medical and sign the paperwork.
That means a deal likely hangs in the balance and if he doesn’t go then he will be stuck here, unwanted by us and not wanting to be here which won’t be good for morale at all.
Hopefully a solution can be found quickly and we can go our separate ways so this doesn’t drag over the season and into January.
In other Everton news, transfer expected to be completed on Friday as Goodison exit on cards.
