Rory Jennings shares ‘worst run club’ Everton verdict live on talkSPORT as ‘appalling’ claim made
Everton are “incredibly mismanaged” possibly the “worst run club” in the world, according to talkSPORT’s Rory Jennings.
The Toffees currently sit 18th in the Premier League table with just a point from their first four matches of the season.
Major news has, however, taken place behind the scenes, with 777 Partners agreeing to acquire Farhad Moshiri’s full stake in the club, as per the official Everton website (15 September).

“When you ask the question what is the first thing that comes to mind about Everton Football Club, the first thing I think of is possibly, and there are contenders here, the worst run club certainly in the league, possibly in the country, maybe in the world,” Jennings said live on talkSPORT.
“They are incredibly mismanaged. Everton have spent half a billion pounds and have managed to get worse. The business that they were conducting was appalling.”

Worrying times
Despite the takeover news, these are still worrying times to be an Everton supporter, primarily because of the state of affairs on the pitch.
Issues behind-the-scenes have been very unfavourable to say the least in recent years, and those struggles have led to poor performances on the pitch. In the last two Premier League campaigns, the Merseyside club have been heavily involved in relegation battles.
Last season, they only just stayed up on the final day, with Abdoulaye Doucoure netting a crucial goal in their 1-0 win against Bournemouth. The struggles have continued into the new campaign, with the Toffees yet to win any of their four matches.
Sean Dyche has seemingly tried his best, but his side have lost to Fulham, Aston Villa and Wolves, as well as picking up a draw against Sheffield United.
More worryingly, the club only scored their first goals of the campaign at the fourth time of asking, in their stalemate with the Blades.
