Sean Dyche sack decision verdict shared as ex Chelsea manager Graham Potter mooted to replace him
Don Hutchison believes that former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter would be doing better than Sean Dyche is at Everton.
The former Toffees and Liverpool striker was clearly unhappy with how Dyche’s team played and eventually lost 1-0 against Arsenal on Sunday (17 September).
Everton are still winless in the Premier League this season and sit in the bottom three – could even drop to the bottom if Burnley and Luton Town win their games in hand.
Hutchison, a BBC pundit, told the Premier League Weekend Wrap at 9:13pm, “I wonder what they can do under Graham Potter. Because that group of players are underperforming. You have to take six points from Brentford and Luton Town if you are Sean Dyche.”

Potter did not have an embarrassment of riches at Brighton that led to his success and eventually getting the Chelsea job.

Yes, the Seagulls are better run than the Toffees, but the Englishman proved it on the training ground that he did a good job improving the players too.
Along with that, his teams played a good brand of football en route to him securing 41 Premier League wins in total.
At Chelsea, it was a bad project that just kept signing players without any thinking behind it and if Dyche is to be sacked in the coming weeks or months, Potter would be a good shout.
He’ll certainly get more of the players than Dyche is and they will not be passive in every game as they’ve been now.
There has been money spent this summer and it’s on the manager to get the best of the new signings.
In other Everton news, a senior Toffees player was rejected due to the lack of quality and he’s now set for a Goodison Park stay.
