Everton attacker Dele Alli to be out for 4-5 weeks due to fresh setback – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...

Everton attacker Dele Alli needs a lot of things to go in his favour in order to return on 21 October to take on Liverpool, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert explains that as he’s had surgery and then faced a setback with his recovery, the timeline for his return was extended.

The 27-year-old is yet to feature for the Toffees under Sean Dyche, even in pre season, and is aiming to get back in action as soon as possible.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said,

It’s difficult to give a timeline here because we know he had surgery in the early summer but then had a setback.

“We don’t have much information on what that setback was and how it limits his recovery.

“A 21 October recovery has been slated but it remains on how his body reacts in the next week or two [which may extend the timeline further].

Everything with Alli appears to be played by ear as it’s not been a straightforward recovery for him.

The England international also revealed how his mental health has not been good which has been another tough battle he’s fighting behind the scenes.

The Toffees staff have offered assistance and Sean Dyche has been nothing but positive in his words towards Alli so it remains to be seen when he returns to action.

In other Everton news, a sack condition has now emerged on Sean Dyche amid the ‘Trouble’ behind the scenes at Goodison Park.
