Everton in touch with Hugo Ekitike agents as PSG forward to make transfer decision

Everton are in touch with the representatives of Hugo Ektike as the PSG forward is set to make a decision on his future, according to 90min.

The news outlet reported on its website on Wednesday (20 September) that the Toffees are monitoring the Frenchman’s situation as he is currently down the pecking order with The Parisians.

It said the 21-year-old is ready to “look at other options available” if he isn’t more involved at the Parc des Princes by December, with the Blues’s Premier League rivals West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Wolves also interested in signing him.

A lot of interest

It could be difficult for Everton to pull off a deal to sign Ekitike in January due to the amount of interest that there is in the forward.

The Toffees were heavily linked with him over the summer, but a move never materialised and he stayed on in Paris to fight for his place.

But it is looking more likely that he will soon exit the French capital as his minutes in the side haven’t improved this season and he will be looking to secure more regular football elsewhere.

The report details that a move to England is the “most likely outcome” for Ekitike, but it added that a loan move to Ligue 1 sides Lyon, Lens and Reims could also be an option.

With the Blues’ noted financial difficulties and a potential takeover potentially not being completed by the time January comes around, it feels as though the forward is unlikely to make the switch to Goodison Park.
