Everton injury news as Jack Harrison could make matchday squad for Premier League clash v Brentford – BBC Sport
Everton forward Jack Harrison could be in line to make the matchday squad against Brentford on Saturday, according to BBC Sport.
Manager Sean Dyche said in his pre-match press conference (21 September) ahead of the game against Brentford on Saturday that the on-loan Leeds United man would need to be delayed “a little bit” as he returns to fitness after the hip injury he arrived with.
However, according to the UK news outlet (22 September), the on-loan Leeds United forward has recovered from a hip problem and could make the squad for the time at the Gtech Community stadium, although he won’t be able to start.

Boost
Harrison’s steady return to full fitness is a crucial boost for Dyche as his cutting-edge and direct wing play could prove absolutely beneficial right now for an Everton attack that has been rather wasteful so far this season.
It doesn’t take a genius to recognise the form that the Toffees have started the season in is ripe for getting them into yet another relegation battle, and much of that has been down to the attacking struggles.

Not every performance has been a total disaster, and had Everton secured the two home wins against Fulham and Wolves where they missed some guilt-edged chances, the table could be looking a whole lot different.
Dyche and Kevin Thelwell have signed players this summer who were supposed to increase the ability to both create and finish chances and while Arnaut Danjuma and Beto have added some injection of quality, it just hasn’t been enough for Dyche’s men to get results.
Everton fans will be praying Harrison is the decisive factor when he eventually makes his return, his form and impact at Elland Road was simply too great for them to ignore, hence their decision to bring him in.
Brentford may come too early for the former Manchester City man to feature, but don’t be surprised if he is involved and Dyche somehow throws him on with minutes to go. His unique qualities are needed right now.
In other Everton news, Dominic Calvert-Lewin must deliver this season or face the prospect of a brutal Goodison Park axe, talks have already been held for a potential £30m replacement.
