Everton target Jesse Lingard jets out as West Ham United manager David Moyes issues update
West Ham manager David Moyes has given an update on Jesse Lingard who’s been linked with a move to Everton as he’s a free agent.
The former Manchester United attacker has been training at the London Stadium but no official decision has been made yet by the Hammers.
On Friday (22 September), the 30-year-old was spotted flying out to Dubai after he shared an image on Twitter.
Six Foot Two’s editor took to Twitter to share that “A fresh report has linked Lingard to move to Everton as a free agent but in a separate twist today he published a photo of himself on a Emirates plane headed to Dubai.”
Moyes said, “I think Jesse is starting to get himself back, he’s had the best part of a month now like pre-season work and is involved in a lot of the football. So he’s doing well but we’ve got no real update to give you from what I’ve said before.
“But we’re happy to try and get Jesse in the right condition.”
Not worth it
Lingard’s severely lacking match fitness and his recent performances for Nottingham Forest suggest he’s no longer worth his grain of salt.
He had arguably the best spell in his career at West Ham and despite training there for a month, Moyes has not decided on signing him.

It seems clear that there are issues and obviously the manager cannot be that vocal about them.
Everton are well stacked in the wide areas and it’s about Sean Dyche finding everyone to sing from the same hymn sheet at Goodison Park.
Right now, their approach to games seems haphazard and things need to change quickly as they’re already in the relegation zone.
With the chaos surrounding the takeover, there’s nobody who has the authority to sack him either so it’s all pretty messy.
In other Everton news, a condition has now emerged on Sean Dyche being sacked amid trouble behind the scenes at Goodison Park.
