Alan Shearer gushes over Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure after what he did in September
Alan Shearer has been thrilled with the performance and goal of Abdoulaye Doucoure as Everton beat Brentford over the weekend.
The Toffees travelled to the capital to take on the Bees at the GTech Community Stadium and came back to Merseyside with the three points.
They ended up winning the game 3-1 with Doucoure scoring the opening goal for them.

Shearer told the Premier League website, “His goal provided Everton with the perfect start and he was unlucky not to score a second when he hit the crossbar.”
Incredible
Doucoure has been a rare goal threat for Everton in the last 12 months which is a worrying thing because that shows the lack of attacking nous at the club.
However, he’s known for scoring important goals and the strike on Friday gave them the momentum to go on a run.
Few expected them to pick up the three points but that’s what they did and it’s a chance to build momentum on that result.

Sean Dyche was feeling the heat ever so slightly and this result will allay any fears even though a sack does not seem to be in the offing.
Until the takeover is completed, there won’t be too many wholesale changes at Goodison Park but if results are poor then the owners may not have any other choice.
All the playing squad can do is focus on what’s happening on the field of play and get the desired results.
In other Everton news, a condition has now emerged on Sean Dyche being sacked amid trouble behind the scenes at Goodison Park.
