Injury Expert issues Jack Harrison claim ahead of Everton v Luton Town Premier League clash
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...
Everton attacker Jack Harrison’s return to the under-21s and starting in the cup may not mean that he’s ready to start v Luton Town on 30 September, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The English winger started for the reserves when they took on Norwich last Friday, but his being named in the eleven for a Premier League game is a tad premature, the injury expert believes
The 26-year-old is yet to make his Toffees league debut after joining from Leeds United in the summer on loan.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“It certainly sounded like a moderate-severity injury based on his timeline and the hip region can be a complex one.
“The start for U21s and in midweek is certainly a good sign and indicates his training and return to play are progressing.
“There’s a possibility he could be in the matchday squad as it seems like he’s only got a slim chance of starting v Luton but it all depends on how his body responds but a start is not expected as it was a long layoff.“

Harrison’s been injured for a few months so it makes sense to ease him back into the playing eleven.
Starting for the under-21s is a different ball game altogether in comparison to the Premier League.
While the 26-year-old will be restless to get back on the field of play, it’s important that they’re cautious with his return.
Oftentimes, players have been rushed back after an injury and then have suffered setbacks leading to dire long-term consequences.
In other Everton news, a condition has now emerged on Sean Dyche being sacked amid trouble behind the scenes at Goodison Park.
