Jack Harrison axed as Dominic Calvert-Lewin starts again – Confirmed Everton XI v Luton Town
Sean Dyche has made 4 changes to his Everton starting lineup for the Premier League clash with Luton at Goodison Park this afternoon.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Vitalii Mykolenko, Ashley Young, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dwight McNeil all start the game, with Arnaut Danjuma, Nathan Patterson, Beto and summer signing Jack Harrison named on the bench.
James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite continue in central defence, while Amadou Onana and James Garner start in midfield alongside Idrissa Gueye.
Momentum
This is a huge game for Everton as we look to make it consecutive Premier League wins for the first time in almost a full calendar year.
But on top of that it’s a major opportunity to beat a team that are considered to be relegation rivals, and create a gap between ourselves and them in the table at this early stage of the season.
Dyche has been consistent with his team selection this season and made minimal changes and that is the case again, although several players from the midweek win over Aston Villa have stepped out.

It’s a big decision considering how well we played, but it makes sense and it’s good to see that he has opted to go more on the front foot for a game like this instead of being pragmatic and setting up not to lose.
It’s a big chance to use the good feeling around the club to get a big win and keep the momentum flowing around Goodison Park, and this is a game that we simply have to win.
