777 Partners ‘struggling’ verdict shared as ‘explosive’ Everton takeover update emerges

777 Partners are “struggling” to meet their existing financial commitments amid their proposed takeover of Everton, according to Josimar journalists Paul Brown and Philippe Auclair.

The US-based investment firm, which has already acquired Genoa and Vasco da Gama among other clubs, has agreed to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s full stake in the Toffees.

As per the official Everton website (15 September), that stake accounts for 94.1 per cent of the Merseyside club’s shares.

“The question remains as to how 777 can honour the huge financial outlay linked to the acquisition of Everton Football Club, when the group is seemingly struggling to meet its existing financial commitments,” Brown and Auclair wrote for Josimar.

“Brazilian club Vasco Da Gama is a prime example of their ongoing difficulties in that respect.”

Worrying times?

Everton supporters have had enough worrying times recently to last a lifetime, but it seems that they will need to strap in for some more problems in the weeks, months and years to come.

777 Partners have a long to-do list at the Merseyside club, and it remains to be seen just how committed or indeed how competent they will be in adressing those issues.

Making matters difficult is the update that their source of funding is now at the centre of an “explosive” new legal complaint, as per Josimar.

A lot needs to change behind the scenes at Everton, with manager Sean Dyche simply wanting the carnage to stop so he can allow everyone to focus on the football.

That football has not been up to scratch this season or indeed in the last couple of seasons, with the Toffees involved in back-to-back Premier League relegation battles.

They may just be involved in another one this time around, having only narrowly escaped the dreaded drop in those two miserable campaigns.

In other Everton news, a Premier League journalist has slammed the Toffees after they suffered an “unwanted record” in the loss to Luton Town.
