Injury Expert shares early Everton team news v Bournemouth with triple blow

Dele Alli, Seamus Coleman and Andre Gomes are all set to miss the Premier League clash between Everton and Bournemouth through continued injury issues, according to Ben Dinnery.

The injury expert shared via his Premier Injuries website that the three Everton men will continue to be missing from the squad on Saturday 7 October – Alli with a groin injury, Coleman with a knee injury, and Gomes with a calf issue.

However, a potential return date has been set for all three players, with 21 October marked for their possible returns to fitness after the international break this month.

Hoping to have them back sooner rather than later

While it is a continued blow to the Toffees to see all three players missing for the Bournemouth game, the return dates being set within a few weeks will be a light at the end of the tunnel, particularly given the club’s recent struggles.

Although neither Gomes nor Alli could really be considered regular starters at the club even before their injuries, a return will be welcome to bolster the squad and provide two different options to what Sean Dyche currently has at his disposal.

Alli in particular could provide strong competition to Abdoulaye Doucoure, who has been playing in a more advanced role behind either Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Beto, looking to provide attacking support. This has always been the role Alli thrives in.

Coleman will also be a welcome return, with his leadership sorely missing from the squad so far this season, despite his influence on the training ground continuing through his absence. His leadership and consistency in defence would be a huge help to the side.
