Everton ace Dwight McNeil in a ‘league of his own’ v Bournemouth with ‘sensational showing’
Everton winger Dwight McNeil was in a “league of his own” against Bournemouth, according to Liverpool World journalist George Priestman.
The Toffees ace played the entire 90 minutes as the Merseyside outfit defeated the Cherries 3-0 on Saturday (7 October).
James Garner, Jack Harrison and Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the goals in the Premier League victory at Goodison Park.

“To put his performance into perspective, he created six chances on the day – which is clearly a sensational showing – but no other player in England’s top four leagues created more over the weekend,” Priestman wrote for Liverpool World.
“He was literally in a league of his own and while everyone was swooning over the incredible strike from Harrison, it was McNeil who quietly went about his business and proved once again why he is a key starter for Sean Dyche.”

McNeil was massively missed by his manager and his teammates in the early stages of the season due to his ankle injury, with the winger absent from the first three league games.
But he has since recovered and has been eased back into action by Dyche, with McNeil now a regular starter for the Toffees.
The 23-year-old played a key role as the club picked up there first three points of the season against Brentford last month, with McNeil playing a similarly key role in the second victory against Bournemouth.
His all-round play is impressive, but the attacker will now want to add more goals and assists to his game in order to really make an impact in blue.
Dyche needs goals from his players, with the Toffees struggling in that area in recent times amid the injury issues of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
But such issues were not on show at home to the Cherries, with Dyche desperate for the goals to keep on coming in the months to come.
In other Everton news, a BBC Sport journalist has shared a “catastrophic” Toffees Premier League relegation verdict.
