Injury Expert issues Liverpool admission for Everton midfielder Dele Alli
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Everton...
Everton attacking midfielder Dele Alli is unlikely to return for the game against Liverpool amid his groin injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that it will be a week’s training once he’s back before he can be considered for first-team football.
Alli is yet to play this season and he’s dealt with physical and mental setbacks but continues to have the backing of manager Sean Dyche.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
“From my understanding, Alli suffered a setback as he was returning from groin, likely adductor surgery.
“We don’t have much information on that setback so it’s difficult to give a timeline or more information on it.
Once he does return to full training, I imagine the club will want him to get a week or so of first team training in to see how he responds to that activity level.
“He’s probably not back yet so it’s unlikely he’s available right after the international break.”

The Toffees visit Anfield on 21 October to take on their arch rivals who have started the season strongly.
The Reds are in fourth place and three points off top spot while Dyche’s side are in a relegation battle and sit in 16th place.
However, the underlying numbers suggest that they should be better off than where they currently are and it remains to be seen whether or not they can pick up something from Anfield.
In other Everton news, a condition has now emerged on Sean Dyche being sacked amid trouble behind the scenes at Goodison Park.
