Alan Myers shares 777 Partners takeover update from USA after Everton saga
Alan Myers has shared that speaking with 777 Partners in the USA, the process over the Everton takeover is still progressing despite other reports.
It comes after talkSPORT reported on October 18 that the takeover was in danger of collapse following doubts regarding how 777 are financing the deal.
The Sky Sports journalist shared that the process is still with the regulatory authorities with talks ongoing, rather than anything to do with a possible collapse.
He wrote: “My understanding is that the process with the regulatory authorities remains ongoing and talks continue, as we speak with 777 in the US, the process is progressing.”

Another day, another drama.
Hopefully, this update brings an end to any suggestions that the takeover could be about to fall through, with an overreaction possible following the potential news.
Myers appears to have eased any fears, with talks ongoing in what will be a long process given the situation of both 777 Partners and Everton themselves.
Regardless of what it means in the immediate future, it is hard not to have concerns regarding 777 and the sheer amount of negative news coming out around them.
Of course, the microscope is always on the club and any prospective buyers, but there seems to be something new coming out every single day at the minute.
Basic statements are not cutting the mustard right now, and more must be done, not only to assure the loyal fans of the club but also those around them.
Hopefully, this update can put any immediate fears to bed, that is until the next potential report comes out.
