Everton and Liverpool slammed live on talkSPORT as ‘poor’ Merseyside Derby predicted
The Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool is the “worst” derby in the Premier League, according to talkSPORT host Hugh Woozencroft.
The Reds welcome the Toffees to Anfield for the first such clash of the season on Saturday (21 October) in the first English top-flight match after the international break.
Jurgen Klopp’s outfit go into the match sitting fourth in the Premier League table, with Sean Dyche’s men sitting 16th.

“This game by the way, I’ve got a bugbear with this match,” Woozencroft said live on talkSPORT. “We hype this match too much.
“This is probably the worst derby in the Premier League for me. It is consistently a poor football match. Sometimes you get a bit of drama. Liverpool are going to walk it this weekend.”

Huge match
There will be different opinions on the competitiveness of this derby, but nobody can argue against what it means to both sets of fans.
The city of Liverpool essentially comes to a standstill during this fierce encounter, with so much at stake for the Reds and the Toffees and their respective supporters.
Everton may not be performing at the level of their rivals at this moment in time, but there is still every chance of Dyche’s side pulling off a shock away from home.
They will make the short trip across Stanley Park knowing how much this fixture means, and knowing that they will turn plenty of heads if they manage to leave with a point or even three.
But their opponents have been in fine form this season, and will undoubtedly back themselves to come out on top in this historic fixture.
The Toffees may just take some confidence from the fact that several of Klopp’s men will perhaps come back tired from the international break, although Dyche did also have a few players away representing their nations.
