Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison can ‘concern’ Liverpool fans as ‘dangerous’ Everton claim made

The form of Everton duo Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison may “concern” Liverpool fans, according to Premier League journalist Alex Keble.

The Toffees travel to Anfield on Saturday (21 October) for their Premier League clash with the Reds, who sit fourth in the table.

Striker Calvert-Lewin has three goals in his last four Everton games, with winger Harrison scoring and assisting on his first start against Bournemouth.

“Liverpool are still favourites for obvious reasons, but Everton are dangerous,” Keble wrote for the official Premier League website. “They have scored nine goals in their last four matches in all competitions and have an xG of 14.7 in the Premier League this season, just 0.2 short of Man City’s.

“And so Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s return to form, with three goals in his last four matches in all competitions, coupled with Harrison’s quick start, may concern Liverpool fans.”

Upset on the cards?

Toffees pair Calvert-Lewin and Harrison will be keen to extend their good runs of form at Anfield, but it won’t be easy.

The home side are going strong under Jurgen Klopp, and currently occupy fourth spot in the Premier League table, with the visitors sitting 10 points behind them in 16th.

That said, Klopp is without the injured Andy Robertson, who is set to be sidelined for some time after sustaining a shoulder injury during the international break for Scotland.

His absence could allow Harrison to thrive against Robertson’s potential replacement Kostas Tsimikas, with the Greek international certainly not as capable as the Scot.

Liverpool are, however, of course very strong in all other areas, and will come flying out of the blocks in order to avoid an upset in front of their own fans.

It will definitely take a tactical masterclass for Sean Dyche to outsmart Klopp, but if he does manage, Calvert-Lewin and Harrison will no doubt be key.
