Ray Parlour makes Everton prediction v Liverpool, ‘they’ll be absolutely delighted’
Ray Parlour believes Everton would be absolutely delighted if they can get a point against Liverpool on Saturday (21 October).
Speaking on talkSPORT on Friday (20 October, 06:12am), the pundit said the Toffees would “take a draw” at Anfield, but that it’s “all about three points” for the Reds.
He added that Liverpool are capable of challenging for the Premier League title this season, so it’s all about them earning a victory over the Blues to put pressure on the sides above them.

“Everton would take a draw surely in the Merseyside Derby going away from home at Liverpool,” said Parlour. “But Liverpool, they are going to try and challenge for the title this season, which they are very capable of doing.
“It’s all about Liverpool being at home at Anfield trying to get three points, especially in the early game trying to put pressure on the teams above them. They are fourth at the moment in the league, so they have had a decent start.
“But for me, if Everton can get a point away from home, especially in a big game like this, they would be absolutely delighted. But it’s all about three points for Liverpool.”
Positive
There is no doubt that Liverpool are going to be the clear favourites to win this game, but the Everton players have to be positive that they can go there and get a result.
Although their form over the years hasn’t been great at Anfield, they should be in better spirits on the back of the convincing victory over Bournemouth before the international break.
Sean Dyche will set his team up to be compact and not let anything get past them early on because managing the early stages of the game will be very important.

The Toffees would certainly take a draw from the game if you offered them it now, but they have to go out there and look to grab a goal as keeping the Reds at bay could prove difficult.
It will be a big test for the Blues, but they will get chances and, unlike they have been on the whole this season, they have to be clinical when they do come along.
In other Everton news, the Blues may be set to receive a boost as Liverpool could be without another first-team star for the Merseyside Derby.
