Andy Gray sends Richard Keys warning after Bramley-Moore Dock visit with Everton
Andy Gray was at the site of the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium speaking to Everton duo James Tarkowski and Dwight McNeil when he warned Richard Keys not to make any smart remarks about the dress code.
The beIN SPORTS pundit joked that the boots, high visibility vests and hard hats the three were wearing had been forced on them for health and safety reasons, leading to a bit of a laugh with the two Everton men.
The trio discussed the building of the stadium, how important it will be to the club after its completion, and the current season working under Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.
Speaking on beIN SPORTS [21 October] Gray warned Keys: “I wanted to say Keysey, I don’t want any smart alec remarks about our choice… this is not our choice of dress. We have been told we have to wear these for health and safety reasons here.”
Tarkowski joked: “You’re looking well” to which Gray replied about his decision to wear a short-sleeved vest rather than the big jackets of the other pair before Gray finished up with: “So no smart remarks.”
The Everton duo speak well
At the moment, there is a particular desire for positive news at Goodison Park, and having two of the players having a bit of a laugh with the backdrop of their new stadium being built is an excellent way to provide more of a light tone to the ongoing news around the club.
Both Tarkowski and McNeil speak well about the club and have an optimistic view for the future, touching on the importance of the stadium move with times changing in the game and both players keen on making new Everton memories.

On top of that, they were full of praise for the fans and the meaning of the club, with pride, dedication and desire at the top of their reasoning for moving to Merseyside in the first place.
Tarkowski in particular expressed his love for playing at the club, and all three joked about the relief of getting over the line when they narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of last season.
