Update emerges on 777 Partners takeover amid fresh Everton twist
777 Partners remain committed to the Everton takeover despite the threat of points deduction from the Premier League, according to the Independent.
The English newspaper reported on its website on 26 October, that they remain on course to buy the club despite this fresh twist.
Other sanctions have also been mooted such as a transfer ban or fines which were handed to West Ham back in 2007.
When it rains it pours
The compounding of crises is almost synonymous with Everton Football Club and this is not what the fans will want.
From FFP violations, dodgy owners, and poor managers to bad transfers and unpopular boardroom figures, they’ve seen it all.
Now, the threat of a points deduction which would make them favourites to get relegated, is just another setback for the club.
It’s good to see 777 remaining committed but they’re themselves being accused of a lot and that’s not the best of looks before taking charge of a club.
Hopefully, things start falling into place soon but it does not seem likely as nothing appears to be going the way fans want to.
There are also experts on both sides of the fence about a 12-point deduction and that could be catastrophic if it takes place.
