Chris Sutton names one player who can stop Everton from relegation this season
Chris Sutton believes that Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s staying fit will be massive in the battle against relegation for Everton this season.
The pundit has been impressed with the signing of Beto as the Englishman’s backup but believes that Calvert-Lewin is pivotal to the Toffees’ performances.
He’s had injury issues over the last two campaigns and even faced fitness concerns at the start of 2023/24 as well.

Sutton told the Daily Mail, “Comfortably enough so if Dominic Calvert-Lewin stays fit. Everything I’ve seen from them in recent weeks, I strongly believe that (they will not get relegated).
“I think Beto’s a decent signing, a decent backup to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but keep him fit. They’ll be fine.”
Spot on
Calvert-Lewin offers so much to Everton apart from his goal-scoring exploits.
His link up play is top notch and he’s got the ability to hold on to the ball, dribble his way out of trouble and find the back of the net regularly.
A system that creates more chances for him will see Everton being in a far more comfortable place than they’re in currently.

It’s for Dyche to take this into consideration and maybe tweak a few things and build this system to get the best out of Calvert-Lewin.
The striker himself needs to work on his fitness as it can’t always be bad luck and it has a lot to do with what happens behind the scenes as well.
Beto is a good backup and there will be times when both he and the England international will be on the pitch together.
In other Everton news, a BBC pundit believes that a first-team player may have upset the rest of the dressing room after what he did and said recently.
