Sean Dyche to axe Arnaut Danjuma from Everton XI v Brighton

Sean Dyche is likely to axe Arnaut Danjuma from the Everton starting eleven against Brighton after his performance against Burnley in mid week.

This weekend on Saturday, 4 November, the Toffees take on Brighton at Goodison Park who will be looking to qualify for Europe this season.

The Toffees, on the other hand, have more modest expectations as they find themselves in another relegation battle this term.

Of late, however, their form has picked up and they secured a 3-0 victory against Burnley on Thursday, 1 November, in the Carabao Cup as well.

Not particularly a fan of rotation, Dyche did look to give Danjuma a rare chance – who started in behind striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

However, the Netherlands international, who’s been Bournemouth’s Player of the Season in 2020/21, did not make the impact he would’ve wanted.

Dyche gave him 68 minutes on the field of play and his stats were underwhelming, to say the least.

According to Sofascore, he made just 17 touches in the game and his pass accuracy was only 71 per cent.

He also lost the only ground duel he attempted and offered nothing out of possession for Dyche’s side.

The Toffees boss is used to having Abdoulaye Doucoure’s work rate in there and the midfielder can also chip in with crucial goals.

As of now, Danjuma’s struggling to fit into the manager’s system and faces a dicey future at Goodison Park.

In other Everton news, a BBC pundit believes that a first-team player may have upset the rest of the dressing room after what he did and said recently.
