Jamie Carragher predicts Everton v Brighton result in Premier League clash at Goodison Park

Jamie Carragher predicts Everton will continue their impressive form with a win against Brighton at Goodison Park on Saturday 4 November.

Sean Dyche’s men are on a real hot streak with their midweek Carabao Cup victory over Burnley being their fourth win in their last six outings in all competitions.

Ahead of the game, former Liverpool defender Carragher predicted the result for Sky Sports’ Super 6 and he believes the game against Brighton will finish 2-1 in favour of the Toffees this weekend.

Tough game

Everton have been in great form lately.

They’re moving themselves away from the Premier League’s relegation battle and they’ve also progressed to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, where they’ll play Fulham in December.

Silverware could actually be on the cards this season, as could Premier League survival and new owners so things are starting to look a bit promising for Everton.

Unfortunately, the owners might not be all their bigging themselves up to be and avoiding relegation to the Championship could come down to whether or not we’re docked 12 points for alleged financial breaches.

All Dyche and his men can do is keep winning.

Brighton are a very good team but they have stuttered in recent weeks and haven’t won any of their last four league outings.

Carragher’s prediction is well-placed due to the form of both teams but you just never know when something comes along to upset the apple cart and Brighton could be ones to do that this weekend at Goodison.

We’d be happy with a draw, in truth.

In other Everton news, Chris Sutton has also shared his prediction.
