Everton transfer news as update emerges on quest to sign Barnsley attacker Fabio Jalo
Everton are in a transfer battle with Leeds United, Brighton and Fulham to secure the services of Barnsley attacker Fabio Jalo, according to TEAMtalk.
The English media outlet reported on 6 November, that the “star” 17-year-old is on the radar of clubs in the Premier League and Championship.
Given that the Portuguese teenager’s deal runs out at the end of the season, the League One outfit may be forced to sell him in January.

Go for it
The Toffees need to bolster their under-21s side and he’d be an ideal addition to their squad.
While he will get more minutes at Barnsley, his development would be better at Finch Farm as the club will have a perfect plan for him.
If they feel like he’s on the cusp of regular first-team football then they might send him out on loan for six months or an entire season and then integrate him into the side.

Alternatively, he can rack up consistent numbers for the reserves and that will build his confidence and put him up in the pecking order.
The Toffees may have to act quickly as Brighton might be a desirable option for him given their track record with youngsters.
It remains to be seen which team ends up securing his services and whether or not he does leave in the January transfer window.
In other Everton news, a BBC pundit believes that a first-team player may have upset the rest of the dressing room after what he did and said recently.
