777 Partners face two big hurdles as they eye Everton takeover
The 777 Partners are facing two big hurdles as they aim to complete the Everton takeover, according to Paul Brown.
The Josimar journalist told Give Me Sport on 7 November that the FCA and the Premier League are the obstacles.
It’s understood that the FCA is more difficult and it’s not a given to get their approval.

He said, “I think 777 will see it as a big step in the right direction. The way I understand the process is that the FA part of this is the smallest part of the regulatory process. So the bigger hurdles will come with the FCA and the Premier League, I think, particularly, with the FCA. So this is part one of three and the harder bits are still to come. What I do know and we wrote in Josimar is that 777 have drafted in David Dein to try and open some doors for them and help smooth the process through. Whether that is successful or not, remains to be seen.”
Crazy
This baffling saga is a cause for serious concern among the Everton faithful.
The ongoing takeover continues to frustrate and raise significant alarm as disturbing reports emerge regularly, shedding light on a troubling state of affairs.
Particularly worrisome are the reports of 777’s failure to meet fundamental obligations, including rent payments and timely employee salaries, casting a shadow of doubt on the new owners’ ability to lead the club in the right direction.

In the case of Farhad Moshiri, his unpopularity was largely due to perceived incompetence rather than reluctance to invest.
However, the situation has taken an even more unsettling turn with the involvement of 777, a group with a less-than-stellar track record in football club management.
The uncertainty surrounding the club’s future is palpable, and nobody can predict what lies ahead. This adds to the growing concerns about Everton’s stability and the impact it might have on the club’s long-term prospects.
In other Everton news, the focus will now be on strength and conditioning as a Toffees player is set to miss the next two games.
